“Everything the Devil Took, the Lord Restored!”

The happy tears started flowing for P and her daughters as soon as they walked up their front steps. Greeted at the door by a sign reading “Bless this home and all who enter”, P knew that this was her fresh start.

The Lord had put the word “breathe” on her heart and goodness, she could hardly catch her breath as we toured her around her beautifully decorated and comfortable home. We came to know P through our new partnership with SOS (Society of Samaritans). She escaped domestic violence with very few earthly possessions, and with her loving and supportive children, was ready to create some happy memories together.

P was quite emotional and shared that she felt that “everything the devil took, the Lord restored!”. She had requested “scripture, scripture, scripture” and we were happy to deliver! Her daughter, H, had never had a bed of her own and now has a room of her own (and a brand-new bed of her own), complete with the touches of nature that she loves. We all gathered for prayer in their living room and this sweet family told us over and over again that what we did for them was “more than they could ever imagine” and that they were “blown away”. Isn’t God GOOD?! “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Psalm 150:6
